Staff at Aston Gardens

Mark Trepanier

Executive Director

Mark brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience to Discovery Senior Living, with Aston Gardens at Pelican Marsh. He started his career in Canada in the golf/resort and country club industry. For several years he was a golf professional at several golf & country clubs. After retiring from active competition, he decided that operations management was his passion and focused on honing his business and operation skills in golf and country club administration. He became Director of Operations with ClubLink Corporation, the largest owner operated of member clubs in Canada, in the year 2000. Mark left ClubLink in 2004 to accept the position of COO/General Manager at a member owned private equity club in Ottawa, Canada, he spent several years guiding that club through a renovation project only to return to ClubLink in 2008 as Regional Executive Director overseeing 9 properties in the Ottawa and Montreal markets. ClubLink leadership asked Mark to move to Florida in late 2013 to oversee their most recent acquisition of 14 golf clubs in both Sun City Center and greater Fort Lauderdale.

After 3 years in Florida Mark decided to change industries and started his senior living experience in 2016. He was the Executive Director of a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Delray Beach for almost 4 years. At Abbey Delray, working for Lifespace Communities he led a community of almost 500 residents and 300 team members through a $40 MM expansion/renovation project. The campus included 340 Independent Living apartments, 78 Assisted Living/Memory Care apartments and 100 Skilled Nursing beds.

Mark will be relocating to Naples, Florida with his wife Estelle and their two sons, Noah and Mika. They are very excited to be part of the Naples community and the Discovery Senior Living team.

SHINE Director at Aston Gardens

Johanna Espinosa

SHINE Director

My name is Johanna Espinosa. I was born and raised in Colombia. I moved to this beautiful country 20 years ago.
My close relationship with my grandmother helped me to develop a great sense of appreciation and respect for the elderly. I began my career in the healthcare industry as a caregiver nearly 17 years ago. I realized my passion and calling was memory care. Where I could help seniors to live their lives to the fullest and to ensure that they have fun, feel loved and are well cared for. I have been with Aston Gardens for fifteen years. The last nine years I have been the Memory Care Director. I am committed to assuring our residents with the opportunity to continue to live an engaging and dignified life.
